Staff Management Group is currently looking for a Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift for our client in Hillside, NJ.

Pay rate: $85,000-$90,000/year plus performance bonus
Schedule: Monday to Friday 10PM - 7AM
Summary:
As the Production Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading and overseeing a group of 30+ employees in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. The successful candidate must have a solid understanding of food manufacturing processes, sanitation, SDS, lean and six sigma methodologies, OSHA regulations, GMPs, BRC, and HACCP.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead a team of 30+ production employees during the 3rd shift, ensuring productivity, efficiency, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Coordinate production activities, prioritize tasks, and allocate resources effectively to meet production goals and customer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including sanitation practices, SDS guidelines, GMPs, BRC, and HACCP regulations.
- Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles and six sigma methodologies to optimize production processes and minimize waste.
- Train and develop employees, providing coaching and feedback to improve performance and enhance skill sets.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as production output, quality metrics, and labor efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, enforce OSHA regulations, and promote a culture of safety awareness among the production team.
- Utilize software tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook to create reports, analyze data, and communicate effectively.
Job Requirements
- Must have prior experience in FOOD manufacturing
- Previous experience in a supervisory role, preferably overseeing a group of 30+ employees, in a food manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing processes, sanitation practices, SDS guidelines, lean and six sigma methodologies, OSHA regulations, GMPs, BRC, and HACCP.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for creating reports, analyzing data, and communicating effectively.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced production environment.
- Solid understanding of safety protocols and the ability to enforce compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Flexibility to work during the 3rd shift and adapt to changing production demands.
